This camp is designed to help girls to move forward with their walk of faith and have a better understanding of it. This year’s theme is the Virtuous Woman in Proverbs 31. The Virtuous woman works with her hands, she helps those in need, she supports and is submissive to her husband, she is a homemaker, she is known for her works. At Camp Moriah the girls are going to be learning about all of this. The girls will be in the kitchen learning first hand tips to help them cook. They will be doing service projects every day to help those that are in need. We will have classes on how we are to be submissive to our husbands. Wives are instructed to submit to your own husbands. This is taught at an early age. As teen girls they can be submissive to their parents or the elders at their home congregation. This is going to be such a fun week and it is going to be full of learning how the girls can use their God-given talents to help His Kingdom grow. Whether the girls are leaders in their girl’s devo, or if they get up and say a prayer for a girl’s day, they are given talents to help. At Camp Moriah we are going to be helping the girls find their talents and using them in a way according to Gods Word. In the sign-up sheet, we have requested you receive two recommendations from a leader at your congregation. This can be a youth minister, an elder, a preacher, etc., someone who can vouche that the young girls are faithful members in the services and youth activities, and will benefit from this camp. Moriah means ‘chosen of God’
We want our girls to know that they are so important, they have been chosen by God.
Camp Moriah is a ladies only, Christian camp, held annually in June in the foothills of Winchester TN at the Little Mountain church of Christ. Through a rotating, four-year slate of curriculum and lessons, your camper will participate in a hands-on approach (following the Bible) as to what it says and instructs for a Christian women to be, her roles and involvement in the Lord’s church.
Camp Moriah offers girls 12 and up the opportunity to find their inner talents according to scripture. Our theme this year is Proverbs 31. Through close study of the word of God, girls will be participating in classes on ‘how to prepare for ladies only’ church activities such as leading prayer, song leading, teaching Bible study classes to fellow sisters in Christ, Ladies days preparation, How to Host a shower, Hospitality, and much more. We aim to help girls find their God-given talents and use them in the Lords church.
We will participate in on and off-site activities, including swimming, service projects, home visits for our shut ins, and many other opportunities in which the girls will spiritually grow and develop lifelong Christian friendships.

THINGS TO BRING TO CAMP MORIAH 2023

Pack comfortable modest clothing for Monday – Friday. Bring a ‘Sunday’ outfit for the banquet.

We will swim. Shorts and t’shirts must be worn. Jeans and capris are welcomed. NO SWIMSUITS! No white t’shirts or shorts.

No tanks or spaghetti straps

no leggings

Shorts to the Knee and T’shirts may be worn during the week unless otherwise stated for banquets, etc.

No lingerie for sleepwear!

No POCKET KNIVES, WEAPONS, ALCOHOL, OR TOBACOO OF ANY KIND.

Shirts that advertise tobacco, drugs, alcohol or contain negative or suggestive language or material may NOT BE WORN AT ANY TIME.
